Hazel Sant, employed at C E Edwards and its subsidiaries for over 45 years, has retired after a long and fruitful career.

Hazel’s connection with C E Edwards began in 1967 when, at the age of 19, she started work with Beeches Garage – part of a group of companies controlled by the owners of C E Edwards. Hazel joined C E Edwards itself in 1986 when Beeches Garage was sold. She has been here ever since, seeing Denholm Rees O’Donnell take over the business in 1996.

She decided against retiring in 2008 when she reached the retirement age of 60, but instead continued to work until she was 65.  She officially retired on Monday 12 August 2013. The company held a low key (at her request) buffet in the works canteen in which all her colleagues attended and, led by Group MD, Alan Hayes, congratulated Hazel on her prosperous career.

We thank Hazel for all her hard work and dedication over the past five
decades and wish her a long and happy retirement.
